Davao Alive Church Land Hub Vision Project: Davao Alive’s future strategic base of operations will be a 1 hectare land site within Davao City with existing water well, large septic tank, simple caretakers house, substantial sized covered concrete pig pen ready for conversion to church building able to host 200+ people, and concrete foundations for a building capable of housing interns, office space for ministry team and public restrooms. The land is already gated and fenced. Vision – To be the central hub of all Davao Alive churches where they can gather for community and training – To be home to a strong local church for the immediate area around the church land (currently no evangelical church in the local area) – To be a base that senior pastors Alwood and Rosie Wick and family and possibly other full time team live on – To produce organic farmed produce for retail for ministry sustainability and for use of emergency aid distribution for outreaches (already under initiation) – To host youth, marriage, family and church camps – To have a covered basketball court for children and youth ministry activities – To have a play area suitable for both able bodied children and those with physical and mental disabilities – To run a cafe for ministry sustainability and evangelistic and community opportunities SPECIAL PROJECT: PARSONAGE $20,000 A parsonage on the Davao Alive church base enabling the lead pastors of Davao Alive church to be at the center of operations overseeing both the local church, outreaches, internships and farming and the Davao Alive church plants across Davao gathering on site regularly for large events. In terms of personal benefit the parsonage will release the pressure of continuously moving (moved 10 times in 10 years!) and enable us to work from one hub and save on housing rental that can instead be utilized in developing ministry. $20,000 will enable the building of the complete basic structure to enable the Wick family to move in and slowly complete the building in phases.
